I’m Amanda Wood (formerly known as Amanda Wheeler). I live and handjive in Auckland, New Zealand with the love of my life and our baby daughter Edith (Edie). I love cities, tragic movies, the internet & rock ‘n’ roll songs. I also take photos, love to travel & to plan house renovations. I once drove a New York City subway train over the Brooklyn Bridge.
Edie was born at 37.5 weeks on 22 September 2013, weighing 3.4kg. As far as her father and I are concerned, she’s absolutely perfect. This is a new phase of our lives and we’re ready for it!
During the day (& when I’m not on parental leave) I’m the Digital Manager for the New Zealand Automobile Association. I plan to go back to work full time when Edie is nearly 6 months old – you’ll read a lot here about my planning to, and the eventual, return to work. Please note though! Everything written on this website is my personal opinion.
